Book: Mallarmésis. Mythopoétique de Stéphane Mallarmé (Peter Lang, 2011)

Working on:

1. “Maladies of Reason from the Renaissance to Modernism” (monograph in progress). This project looks at the recuperation of Renaissance aesthetics and sensibility in Modernism (from late Romanticism on) as the symptom of epistemological rupture in Post-Enlightenment and Post-Revolutionary Europe.
2. Reading the Digital: Towards a New Literary Hermeneutics (IRG-funded). Based on work with the digital text (with the help of the Humanities Computing and Media Centre at UVic), this project seeks to identify ways that technology might shed light on how we read and how this technology functions in transforming the nature of text.
